South Africa Celebrates Mandela's 94th birthday
At a primary school in Johannesburg, around one hundred children braved the morning cold and gathered in the school playground to send Mandela their birthday wishes.
Since 2008, when Mandela turned 90, the former South African president's birthday has become known as "Mandela Day"
Many South Africans are commemorating the event by doing community work.
