The group ActionAid launched the 1Goal program with this year's WorldCup to try to promote education.
British actor and ActionAid ambassador Ralf Little flew over to Rio de Janeiro to meet the children who need help.
Little, who is also a semi-professional footballer, is visibly touched by discovering the living conditions in the notorious "City of God" slum on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro where 65 thousand people are living in a space designed for 25 thousand.
Little joins the slum children for a game of soccer, and notices their enthusiasm.
World leaders vowed in 2002 to give every child a quality education by 2015 but with just five years to go, millions of children still don't get even an elementary school education.
The children in this slum are eager to learn. They're just waiting for the opportunity to do so.
