Double Amputee Athlete to Make Olympic History
Oscar Pistorius will be the first double-amputee athlete to compete at the Olympics.
Pistorius is expected to compete in the individual 400 meter and the 4 into 400 meter relay.
Pistorius lost his legs at 11 months. The "Blade Runner," as he is now known, runs with carbon-fibre blades.
His running prosthetics led to years of controversy.
Pistorius was initially banned because many argued that his blades gave him an unfair advantage.
The South African athlete is expected to compete in the Paralympic Games as well.
