(Ebru News/AP) Dramatic pictures have been released showing the moment a Boeing 737 veered off a runway at an airport in Romania. The plane, which belonged to Romanian airline TAROM, was taking off with 123 persons for the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheik, when it is thought to have crashed into a car that was on the runway. A couple of people were apparently seen running from the car moments before the crash.
The crash caused the plane to veer off the runway into snow-covered grass, damaging the left side engine.
The moment the plane left the runway was caught on tape by one of the passengers who had been filming the take-off.
No one was reported hurt in the incident.
All but nine of the 123 passengers decided to continue their journey, taking a later flight to their destination.
