It was a picture perfect night for hundreds of people to gather at Long Island's Eisenhower Park for their own taste of Turkish music.

The 5th Annual Turkish Concert Night took place last night and was organized by the Turkish Cultural Center.

Representatives of the Long Island Turkish Cultural Center said each year, the concert brought in more people.

They also said the center was happy to have brought together the members of the American and Turkish communities at the concert.

The concert not only appealed to the adults but also children. Families say they enjoy participating in the event because their children love to play with the toys.

Turkish traditional folk singer Gokmen took the stage for a performance.

The president of Long Island Turkish Cultural Center, Sabri Altinok, said the cultural center wished to celebrate the anniversary many more years down the road.

Beside the music, concert-goers had the chance to enjoy traditional Turkish cuisine.
