(Ebru News) The 5th Annual Interfaith Walk for Peace and Reconciliation took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania recently.
The Philadelphia Interfaith Walk for Peace and Reconciliation began when a group of Jews, Muslims and Christians came together in November 2003 to plan the event that took place in May 2004 through the streets of Philadelphia.
Walking from/to the other group's house of prayer and affirming spiritual values are the primary intentions.
The Walks have been spiritually enlightening and peace affirming events for participants of the three Abrahamic faiths, as well as for people of other religions.
The walk began at Masjid Muhammad and continued to the Miskhan Sahlom synagoge where participants made 2 other stops that included The First Presbyterian church in Germantown and The Unitarian Society of Germantown.
Participants were welcomed by religius songs at each Temple
The walk has brought diversified people together including Sikhs, Buddhists, Hindus, and secular participants and has shown why Philadelphia is known as the City of Brotherly Love.
Participants were not hindered by the heavy rain and shared their views with Ebru TV during the walk
